The Mt. Shasta Bears basketball team scored 85 points and held the visiting Weed Cougars to 52 in the Bears league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bears now sport a 17-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trinity for a Shasta Cascade contest on Friday, January 26. Mt. Shasta will battle a Wolves team coming off a 76-65 non-league loss to Arcata (Arcata, CA). The Wolves record now stands at 13-7.

The Cougars (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Fall River (McArthur, CA). The Bulldogs enter the Shasta Cascade contest with a 16-3 record. In their last contest, Fall River was routed by Mt. Shasta (Mt. Shasta, CA), 72-23, in a league contest.
