Mississippi High School Basketball - Southeast Lauderdale nudges Forest
January 29, 2016: Forest, MS 39074 In Friday's non-league outing, the Southeast Lauderdale Tigers (Meridian, MS) basketball squad nipped the host Forest Bearcats (Forest, MS), by a margin of 37-36.
The Tigers (15-4) will now prepare for their outing against Kemper County (DeKalb, MS). The Wildcats go into the 3A Region 5 outing with a 7-15 record. In their last outing, Kemper County got by Newton County (Decatur, MS), 49-41, in a non-league outing.
The Bearcats now own a 15-6 record. They play next when they travel to Philadelphia for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 2. Forest will clash with a Tornadoes squad coming off a 57-53 non-league win over Magee (Magee, MS). The Tornadoes record now stands at 14-10.
