The Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Taft Toreadors to 0 in the Nighthawks non-league victory on Friday.

The Nighthawks now have a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Salpointe Catholic for a II Section II game on Tuesday, September 27. Ironwood Ridge will meet a Lancers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Cholla (Tucson, AZ). The Lancers record now stands at 7-8.

The Toreadors (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Birmingham (Lake Balboa, CA). The Patriots enter the West Valley game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Birmingham dropped by El Camino Real (Woodland Hills, CA), 75-62, in a league game.
