Colorado High School Basketball - Haxtun crushes Merino
February 3, 2018: Merino, CO 80741 Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs (Haxtun, CO) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Merino Rams (Merino, CO), 51-23 in a league bout.
With the victory, Haxtun upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Fightin' Bulldogs travel to Wiggins (Wiggins, CO) to play the Tigers in a 2A/1A Lower Platte game on Thursday, February 8. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 10-5. Wiggins lost 51-9 in their recent league game against Holyoke (Holyoke, CO)
With the defeat, Merino moves to 5-9 on the year. The Rams host Fleming (Fleming, CO) to face the Wildcats in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 6. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 14-2. Fleming lost 72-28 in their recent non-league game against Kit Carson (Kit Carson, CO)
