The Mason County Royals basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the visiting Highlands Bluebirds to 42 in the Royals non-league victory on Thursday.

The Royals now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sycamore for a Greater Miami contest on Saturday, January 23.

The Bluebirds (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Mercy (Louisville, KY). The Jaguars come into the non-league contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Mercy was nudged by Rogers (Toledo, OH), 49-40, in a non-league contest.
