January 10, 2011: Butler, PA 16001 In Monday's non-league outing, the Butler Golden Tornado (Butler, PA) basketball squad beat the visiting Carrick Raiders (Pittsburgh, PA), by a count of 75-56.
The Golden Tornado (5-6) will now prepare for their outing against Franklin Regional (Murrysville, PA). The Panthers go into the non-league outing with a 5-6 record. In their last outing, Franklin Regional gained a win over Gateway (Monroeville, PA), 73-69, in a league outing.
The Raiders now hold a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Langley for a Pittsburgh City outing on Friday, January 14. Carrick will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 72-63 league win over Westinghouse (Pittsburgh, PA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-11.
