The Velma Jackson Falcons (Camden, MS) basketball nipped the host Canton Tigers (Canton, MS), 51-46 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Falcons (14-6) will now prepare for their test against St. Andrews Episcopal (Ridgeland, MS). The Saints go into the 3A Region 6 test with a 12-6 record.

The Tigers now own a 6-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ridgeland for a 5A Region 3 test on Friday, January 21. Canton will clash with a Titans squad coming off a 48-24 non-league win over Yazoo County (Yazoo City, MS). The Titans record now stands at 23-1.
