December 31, 2014: San Juan Bautista, CA 95045 The Anzar Hawks basketball team (San Juan Bautista, CA), was overwhelmed 56-7 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Valley Christian Lions (Roseville, CA)
The Lions now possess a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highlands for a non-league battle on Monday, January 5. Valley Christian will battle a Scots team coming off a 59-31 non-league win over Amador (Sutter Creek, CA). The Scots record now stands at 9-0.
The Hawks (0-5) will now prepare for their battle against Sacred Heart Cathedral (San Francisco, CA). The Fightin' Irish come into the non-league battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Sacred Heart Cathedral was overwhelmed by South Medford (Medford, OR), 62-59, in a non-league battle.
