March 1, 2018: Sacramento, CA 95818 McClatchy Lions (Sacramento, CA) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Chavez Titans (Stockton, CA), 3-0 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Lions clash with the Cordova Lancers (Rancho Cordova, CA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, March 7. McClatchy will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record.
With the loss, Chavez drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Kimball (Tracy, CA) to face the Jaguars in a non-league contest on Friday, March 2. The Jaguars go into the contest with a record of 0-1. Kimball lost 3-1 in their recent non-league contest against Mountain House (Mountain House, CA)
Match Summary
Tonight the Lions faced an upstart team from Stockton, Cesar Chavez High. The well coached Chavez High were not up to the challenge and Lions were able to give all the athletes an opportunity to play. In his first match, Calix Ho had 5 assists in the 3rd set of his first match.
