Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Our Lady of the Sacred Heart tops St. Joseph
December 19, 2017: Natrona Heights, PA 15065 Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers (Coraopolis, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host St. Joseph Spartans (Natrona Heights, PA), 63-53 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to New Brighton (New Brighton, PA) to play the Lions in a WPIAL 2A 1 bout on Thursday, December 21. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 2-4. New Brighton lost 54-5 in their recent non-league bout against Fort Cherry (McDonald, PA)
Next up, the Spartans play the Winchester Thurston (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 3 bout, on Thursday, December 21. St. Joseph will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 42-31 non-league win over Cornell (Coraopolis, PA).
