The Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA) basketball knocked off the visiting Coalinga Horned Toads (Coalinga, CA), 36-28 in Friday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (6-8) will now prepare for their test against Corcoran (Corcoran, CA). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 11-6 record. In their last test, Corcoran was beaten by Foothill (Bakersfield, CA), 59-50, in a non-league test.

The Horned Toads now own a 1-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lindsay for a non-league test on Saturday, January 3. Coalinga will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 55-47 non-league loss to Corcoran (Corcoran, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-6.
