The Sharks sent 10 batters to the plate in the pivotal fourth inning. Alex Willich and Ryan Tiefer had consecutive doubles to lead off the inning. Sam Horne then laid down a sacrifice bunt that Pirates pitcher Tyler Stuart through wild to first base with Tiefer scoring and Horne advancing all the way to third on the error. Jake Jacob then brought home Horne with a sngle to right field. After Brett Poling singled, sophomore DH Max Miller brought home Jacob and Poling with a 2 rbi single to complete the scoring.
Jacob, Perry Orth, and Willich each led the Sharks hitting attack with a pair of base knocks. The two teams will meet again Wednesday at Matanzas in a 7:00 PM start.
