September 30, 2016: Cayce, SC 29033 In Friday's league game, the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats (Cayce, SC) football team smashed the visiting Pelion Panthers (Pelion, SC), by a score of 49-6.
The Bearcats (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Gilbert (Gilbert, SC). The Indians come into the AAA Region V game with a 6-0 record. In their last game, Gilbert overwhelmed Swansea (Swansea, SC), 49-6, in a league game.
The Panthers now sport a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they host Edisto for a AAA Region V game on Friday, October 7. Pelion will battle a Cougars team coming off a 42-0 league loss to Strom Thurmond (Johnston, SC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-5.
