The Austin Mustangs football team (Houston, TX), was ripped 58-21 in Friday's league challenge with the host Porter Spartans (Porter, TX)

The Spartans (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Goose Creek Memorial (Baytown, TX). The Patriots come into the 5A-1 Region III District 9 challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Goose Creek Memorial was ripped by Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, TX), 50-2, in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Wisdom for a 5A-1 Region III District 9 challenge on Saturday, October 13. Austin will meet a Generals team coming off a 58-0 league loss to Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX). The Generals record now stands at 1-4.
