March 17, 2012: Charlotte, NC 28270 Spectators at Saturday's league battle between the Providence Panthers (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), saw Providence's baseball squad knock off Independence by a count of 6-3.
Coming up next, the Panthers play the Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A Southwestern battle, on Tuesday, March 20. Providence will attempt to move on its 10-1 season record. The Mustangs enter the battle with a 4-4 record after their 5-1 league loss to Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC).
The Patriots now possess a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Mecklenburg for a 4A Southwestern battle on Tuesday, March 20. Independence will play a Sabres squad coming off a 8-5 league win over Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC). The Sabres record now stands at 6-3.
