Georgia High School Basketball - Spalding nips Perry

January 23, 2018: Perry, GA 31069

Spalding Jaguars (Griffin, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Perry Panthers (Perry, GA), 54-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Spalding upgrades its record to 16-3 on the season. The Jaguars host Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA) to encounter the Knights in a AAAA Region 2 test on Friday, January 26. The Knights go into the test with a record of 12-9. Upson-Lee lost 47-44 in their recent league test against West Laurens (Dexter, GA)

The Panthers now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they host Howard for a AAAA Region 2 test on Friday, January 26. Perry will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 43-27 league win over Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA). The Huskies record now stands at 5-15.
