In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Holcomb Longhorns basketball team scored a tight 66-60 triumph over the Hillsboro Trojans.

In their next game, the Longhorns face the Hugoton Eagles (Hugoton, KS) in a Great Western match, on Friday, January 31. Holcomb will attempt to move on its 9-2 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 5-6 record after their 60-47 non-league loss to Liberal (Liberal, KS).

With the defeat, Hillsboro falls to 10-2 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Sterling (Sterling, KS) to confront the Black Bears in a Central Kansas battle on Tuesday, February 4.
