Louisiana High School Basketball - Pineville holds off Winnfield
December 28, 2011: Pineville, LA 71360 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Pineville Rebels (Pineville, LA) and the visiting Winnfield Tigers (Winnfield, LA), saw Pineville's basketball squad hold off Winnfield by a count of 69-62.
With the victory, Pineville upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Rebels host Buckeye (Buckeye, LA) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 3-9. Buckeye lost 52-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Avoyelles Charter (Mansura, LA)
Next up, the Tigers play the Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers (Jonesboro, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Winnfield will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 84-26 non-league win over Quitman (Quitman, LA).
