Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC), 10-0 in a league test.

With the win, Owen upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Warhorses travel to Mitchell (Bakersville, NC) to battle the Mountaineers in a Western Highlands 2A/1A test on Tuesday, March 15. The Mountaineers come into the test with a record of 1-3. Mitchell lost 8-5 in their recent non-league test against North Stokes (Danbury, NC)

With the defeat, Avery County falls to 0-3 on the season. The Vikings host Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to battle the Bearcats in a Western Highlands 2A/1A test on Friday, March 18. The Bearcats come into the test with a record of 1-3.
