Sheldon Huskies (Sacramento, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Merced Bears (Merced, CA), 92-75 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sheldon upgrades its record to 25-5 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Franklin (Elk Grove, CA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, March 6. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 26-4. Franklin won 70-66 in their recent non-league bout against Turlock (Turlock, CA)

Next up, the Bears play the San Ramon Valley Wolves (Danville, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 9. Merced will attempt to upgrade on its 25-5 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 26-3 record after their 55-53 non-league loss to De La Salle (Concord, CA).
