The Haywood Tomcats (Brownsville, TN) basketball nipped the host Westview Chargers (Martin, TN), 70-66 in Friday's league test.

The Tomcats (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Covington (Covington, TN). The Chargers go into the AA District 13 test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Covington got by Gibson County (Dyer, TN), 71-42, in a league test.

The Chargers now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Station Camp for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 29. Westview will clash with a Bison squad coming off a 53-46 non-league win over Murray (Murray, KY). The Bison record now stands at 10-4.
