Louisiana High School Basketball - Ponchatoula holds off Hammond

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) and the visiting Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA), saw Ponchatoula's basketball squad hold off Hammond by a tally of 71-65.

With the victory, Ponchatoula improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Green Wave travel to Family Christian (Baton Rouge, LA) to confront the Flames in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 12. The Flames come into the challenge with a record of 11-5. Family Christian won 84-63 in their recent non-league challenge against Oakdale (Oakdale, LA)

Next up, the Tornadoes confront the Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 10. Hammond will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Cowboys come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 57-43 non-league loss to Amite (Amite, LA).
