The Salem Blue Devils thwarted the visiting Manchester Memorial Crusaders football team by a count of 44-34 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Salem upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Blue Devils host Pinkerton (Derry, NH) to face the Astros in a Division I bout on Saturday, September 24. The Astros enter the bout with a record of 3-0. Pinkerton won 47-0 in their recent league bout against Nashua North (Nashua, NH)

The Crusaders (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Nashua South (Nashua, NH). The Purple Panthers enter the Division I bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, Nashua South defeated Lowell (Lowell, MA), 44-41, in a non-league bout.
