Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Ripley Tigers (Ripley, MS) and the host Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS), witnessed Ripley's softball squad tip Myrtle by a count of 8-5.

The Tigers now sport a 2-8 record. They play next when they host Corinth for a 3A Region 1 match on Tuesday, April 13. Ripley will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 14-4 league win over Belmont (Belmont, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 9-7.
