McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Rockwall Yellowjackets (Rockwall, TX), 63-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, McKinney upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Lions host Wakeland (Frisco, TX) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Monday, November 19. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Wakeland won 73-61 in their recent non-league bout against Wylie (Wylie, TX)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Triple A Academy (Dallas, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 24. Rockwall will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
