Mississippi High School Basketball - Myrtle can't hold off New Albany

The New Albany basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Myrtle Hawks to 55 in the non-league triumph on Saturday.

The now sport a 18-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shannon for a 4A Region 1 contest on Tuesday, January 19.

The Hawks (9-11) will now prepare for their contest against Ingomar (New Albany, MS). The Falcons enter the 1A Region 2 contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, Ingomar was nudged by East Union (Blue Springs, MS), 49-42, in a non-league contest.
