In Friday's non-league game, the Gila Ridge Hawks (Yuma, AZ) football team knocked off the host Mohave Thunderbirds (Bullhead City, AZ), by a final score of 32-12.

The Hawks (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Rancho (Las Vegas, NV). The Rams come into the non-league game with a 0-0 record.

The Thunderbirds now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dixie for a non-league game on Friday, August 28. Mohave will battle a Flyers team coming off a 35-21 non-league loss to Springville (Springville, UT). The Flyers record now stands at 0-1.
