Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Enka Jets (Enka, NC) and the host Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC), saw Enka's basketball squad hold off Tuscola by a tally of 61-58.

With the victory, Enka improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Jets travel to Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Mountaineers confront the Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) in a Western North Carolina 2A/3A challenge, on Friday, December 9. Tuscola will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record.
