January 3, 2017: Loretto, TN 38469 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Loretto Mustangs (Loretto, TN) and the visiting Muscle Shoals Trojans (Muscle Shoals, AL), saw Loretto's basketball squad overcome Muscle Shoals by a tally of 69-59.
With the victory, Loretto improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Collinwood (Collinwood, TN) to confront the Trojans in a A District 12 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Collinwood lost 69-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Lewis County (Hohenwald, TN)
Next up, the Trojans confront the Athens Golden Eagles (Athens, AL) in a 6A Area 16 challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Muscle Shoals will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 58-49 non-league win over West Limestone (Lester, AL).
