Alabama High School Basketball - Escambia County edges Walton
December 30, 2017: Atmore, AL 36502 The Escambia County Blue Devils (Atmore, AL) basketball nipped the visiting Walton Braves (DeFuniak Springs, FL), 80-79 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Blue Devils (14-4) will now prepare for their test against Chickasaw (Chickasaw, AL). The Chieftain go into the non-league test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, Chickasaw got by Washington County (Chatom, AL), 52-42, in a non-league test.
The Braves now own a 8-2 record. They play next when they host Baker for a non-league test on Thursday, January 4. Walton will encounter a Gators squad coming off a 73-59 non-league loss to Heritage Academy (Columbus, MS). The Gators record now stands at 3-3.
