California High School Baseball - Loyola gets by Mira Costa
April 28, 2012: Los Angeles, CA 90006 Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the Loyola Cubs (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Mira Costa Mustangs (Manhattan Beach, CA), saw Loyola's baseball squad knock off Mira Costa by a count of 9-6.
Coming up next, the Cubs play the Chaminade Eagles (West Hills, CA) in a Mission battle, on Tuesday, May 1. Loyola will attempt to move on its 18-6 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 11-12 record after their 1-0 league win over St. Francis (La Canada, CA).
The Mustangs now possess a 17-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Redondo Union for a Bay battle on Wednesday, May 2. Mira Costa will play a Sea Hawks squad coming off a 5-1 league win over West (Torrance, CA). The Sea Hawks record now stands at 14-10.
