December 28, 2018: Grapeland, TX 75844 The Grapeland Sandies (Grapeland, TX) basketball felled the visiting Van Vleck Leopards (Van Vleck, TX), 70-50 in Friday's non-league test.
The Sandies (12-4) will now prepare for their test against Fairfield (Fairfield, TX). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 5-3 record.
The Leopards now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to East Bernard for a 3A Region III District 24 test on Friday, January 4. Van Vleck will encounter a Brahmas squad coming off a 42-38 non-league loss to Schulenburg (Schulenburg, TX). The Brahmas record now stands at 1-1.
