Virginia High School Football - Mathews defeats West Point
October 21, 2011: Mathews, VA 23109 In Friday's league match, the host Mathews Blue Devils football squad scored a good 73-64 victory over the West Point Pointers.
In their next game, the Blue Devils clash with the Nandua Warriors (Onley, VA) in a A Eastern match, on Friday, October 28. Mathews will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 2-6 record after their 38-20 league win over Northampton (Eastville, VA).
The Pointers (4-5) will now prepare for their match against King William (King William, VA). The Cavaliers enter the A Eastern match with a 8-0 record. In their last match, King William ran past Middlesex (Saluda, VA), 62-0, in a league match.
