Kansas High School Basketball - Smoky Valley holds off Remington
January 20, 2016: Whitewater, KS 67154 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Smoky Valley Vikings (Lindsborg, KS) and the host Remington Broncos (Whitewater, KS), saw Smoky Valley's basketball squad hold off Remington by a tally of 55-53.
With the victory, Smoky Valley improves its record to 2-8 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Trinity (Hutchinson, KS) to confront the Celtics in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 26. The Celtics come into the challenge with a record of 2-7. Trinity lost 85-63 in their recent non-league challenge against Sterling (Sterling, KS)
Next up, the Broncos confront the Chase County Bulldogs (Cottonwood Falls, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 29. Remington will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 53-33 non-league win over Northern Heights (Allen, KS).
