Massachusetts High School Football - Melrose nips Winchester
November 12, 2016: Winchester, MA 01890 In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Melrose Red Raiders football squad scored a close 34-27 victory over the Winchester Sachems.
In their next game, the Red Raiders clash with the Wakefield Memorial Warriors (Wakefield, MA) in a Middlesex - Freedom match, on Thursday, November 24. Melrose will attempt to move on its 7-3 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 4-6 record after their 34-13 non-league loss to Gloucester (Gloucester, MA).
The Sachems (6-6) will now prepare for their match against Woburn Memorial (Woburn, MA). The Tanners enter the Middlesex - Liberty match with a 5-5 record. In their last match, Woburn Memorial held off Westford Academy (Westford, MA), 35-20, in a non-league match.
