The Gaston Day Spartans basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting Victory Christian Center to 69 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Covenant Classical for a non-league contest on Monday, February 2. Gaston Day will meet a team coming off a 60-59 non-league loss to Grace Academy (Matthews, NC). The record now stands at 7-13.

The (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Word of God Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Word of God Christian Academy ran past Waccamaw Academy (Whiteville, NC), 75-46, in a league contest.
