The Elida Bulldogs basketball team scored 77 points and held the visiting Benedictine Bengals to 72 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 22-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Perkins for a non-league match on Saturday, March 17. Elida will face a Pirates team coming off a 67-61 non-league win over Brookhaven (Columbus, OH). The Pirates record now stands at 23-2.

With the defeat, Benedictine moves to 15-9 on the year.
