California High School Basketball - Point Loma topples Hoover

In Thursday's non-league outing, the Point Loma Pointers (San Diego, CA) basketball squad beat the visiting Hoover Cardinals (San Diego, CA), by a margin of 61-51.

The Pointers (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against Clairemont (San Diego, CA). The Chieftains go into the Central outing with a 5-16 record. In their last outing, Clairemont was topped by San Diego (San Diego, CA), 73-31, in a league outing.

The Cardinals now own a 8-12 record. They play next when they host Madison for a Eastern outing on Friday, January 27. Hoover will clash with a Warhawks squad coming off a 62-43 league loss to Scripps Ranch (San Diego, CA). The Warhawks record now stands at 6-14.
