With the win, Pisgah improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Bears travel to Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC) to confront the Mustangs in a Mountain 6 2A outing on Friday, October 5. The Mustangs go into the outing with a record of 4-1.
With the loss, Polk County moves to 1-4 on the season. The Wolverines host East Rutherford (Forest City, NC) to confront the Cavaliers in a non-league outing on Friday, September 28. The Cavaliers go into the outing with a record of 5-0. East Rutherford won 34-7 in their recent non-league outing against Patton (Morganton, NC)
