West Virginia High School Basketball - Woodrow Wilson nips Huntington
January 24, 2018: Huntington, WV 25701 Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles (Beckley, WV) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Huntington Highlanders (Huntington, WV), 68-64 in a league bout.
With the victory, Woodrow Wilson upgrades its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Flying Eagles travel to Parkersburg (Parkersburg, WV) to play the Big Reds in a Mountain State bout on Friday, January 26. The Big Reds come into the bout with a record of 8-6. Parkersburg lost 60-55 in their recent league bout against Cabell Midland (Ona, WV)
Next up, the Highlanders play the Capital Cougars (Charleston, WV) in a Mountain State bout, on Friday, January 26. Huntington will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 58-56 league win over St. Albans (St. Albans, WV).
