Arizona High School Baseball - Willow Canyon loses to Millennium
March 1, 2011: Surprise, AZ 85374 In Tuesday's non-league game, the visiting Millennium Tigers baseball team scored a tight 8-1 victory over the Willow Canyon Wildcats.
The Tigers (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Pinnacle (Phoenix, AZ). The Pioneers go into the non-league game with a 4-0 record. In their last game, Pinnacle tipped Goldwater (Phoenix, AZ), 6-1, in a non-league game.
The Wildcats (0-5) will now prepare for their game against O'Connor (Phoenix, AZ). The Eagles go into the 5A Northwest game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, O'Connor was overwhelmed by Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ), 14-1, in a non-league game.
Game Summary
Austin Hoffman picked up his first win this season with a solid 6-inning effort, allowing only 3 hits and 0 earned runs. He pitched himself out of several jams that were caused by some shoddy defense, and finished with 5 K’s.
