September 1, 2011: Montgomery, AL 36107 The Wetumpka Indians football squad scored 17 points and restricted the host Lee Generals to 14 in the Indians league victory on Thursday.
The Indians now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lanier for a 6A Region 4 battle on Friday, September 9. Wetumpka will encounter a Poets squad coming off a 23-20 league loss to Russell (Alexander City, AL). The Poets record now stands at 0-2.
Coming up next, the Generals encounter the Prattville Lions (Prattville, AL) in a 6A Region 4 contest, on Thursday, September 8. Lee will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Lions go into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 34-7 non-league win over Stanhope Elmore (Millbrook, AL).
