New Albany (New Albany, MS) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting South Jones Braves (Ellisville, MS), 57-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Albany upgrades its record to 29-4 on the season. The travel to Lawrence County (Monticello, MS) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, March 4. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 27-7. Lawrence County won 62-54 in their recent non-league bout against Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS)
