The Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), 52-44 in Monday's non-league test.

The Mavericks (4-2) will now prepare for their test against Harding University (Charlotte, NC). The Rams go into the non-league test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Harding University went down by Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC), 59-16, in a non-league test.

The Fighting Scots now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Laney for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 16.
