Illinois High School Basketball - Sterling can't hold off Willowbrook
January 14, 2017: Sterling, IL 61081 The Willowbrook Warriors basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the host Sterling Golden Warriors to 58 in the Warriors non-league victory on Saturday.
The Warriors now sport a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Moline United for a non-league contest on Monday, January 16. Willowbrook will battle a Panthers team coming off a 74-48 non-league win over Lake Forest Academy (Lake Forest, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 13-4.
The Golden Warriors (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL). The Blue Thunder come into the non-league contest with a 3-13 record. In their last contest, Belvidere North was nudged by Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL), 74-48, in a league contest.
