Florida High School Football - Countryside knocks off Gibbs
September 23, 2016: St. Petersburg, FL 33711 The Countryside Cougars football squad scored 26 points and limited the host Gibbs Gladiators to 12 in the Cougars non-league win on Friday.
The Cougars now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Pinellas Park for a 7A District 10 battle on Friday, September 30. Countryside will play a Patriots squad coming off a 36-32 non-league win over Boca Ciega (Gulfport, FL). The Patriots record now stands at 3-0.
Coming up next, the Gladiators play the Tarpon Springs Spongers (Tarpon Springs, FL) in a 5A District 9 battle, on Friday, September 30. Gibbs will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Spongers go into the battle with a 1-3 record after their 38-0 non-league loss to East Lake (Tarpon Springs, FL).
