The Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL) basketball felled the host Morris Redskins (Morris, IL), 40-27 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Maple Leafs (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Sterling (Sterling, IL). The Golden Warriors go into the Northern Illinois Big 12 - West test with a 8-10 record. In their last test, Sterling went down by Rochelle (Rochelle, IL), 51-40, in a non-league test.

The Redskins now own a 2-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kaneland for a Northern Illinois Big 12 - East test on Tuesday, January 15. Morris will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 50-30 non-league loss to Ottawa (Ottawa, IL). The Knights record now stands at 8-7.
