Illinois High School Basketball - United thwarts Limestone
January 29, 2011: East Moline, IL 61244 The United Panthers (East Moline, IL) basketball felled the visiting Limestone Rockets (Bartonville, IL), 63-49 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Panthers (12-10) will now prepare for their test against Alleman (Rock Island, IL). The Pioneers go into the Western Big 6 test with a 10-10 record.
The Rockets now own a 10-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Canton for a Mid-Illini contest on Friday, February 4. Limestone will meet a Little Giants team coming off a 51-48 league loss to Metamora (Metamora, IL). The Little Giants record now stands at 3-13.
