The Pearl Pirates (Pearl, MS) basketball felled the host Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS), 84-74 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Pirates (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Brandon (Brandon, MS). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 1-0 record.

The Cougars now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Piney Woods for a non-league test on Thursday, November 20.
