January 20, 2009: Blum, TX 76627 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Blum Bobcats (Blum, TX) and the visiting Kopperl Eagles (Kopperl, TX), saw Blum's basketball squad knock off Kopperl by a score of 48-40.
With the victory, Blum improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Aquilla (Aquilla, TX) to battle the Cougars in a 1A-2 Region III District 20 challenge on Friday, January 23. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 13-9. Aquilla lost 42-37 in their recent league challenge against Walnut Springs (Walnut Springs, TX)
Next up, the Eagles battle the Oglesby Tigers (Oglesby, TX) in a 1A-2 Region III District 20 challenge, on Friday, January 23. Kopperl will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 45-31 league loss to Walnut Springs (Walnut Springs, TX).
